So excited to get Drifter from Autumn Sun Alpacas. He did not get the time he deserved in the show ring simply because they run a very small string and had to make a cut. However, when parted this year, they were surprised with how well he is maintaining his fineness, uniformity and crimpy style.

Spindrifter's sire, Orionn, has shown that his crias are always fine and crimpy but sometimes their best fleece doesn't show until they are maturing. Looking forward to seeing if Drifter will also maintain this high degree of fineness and crimpy across his uniform and dense blanket as he matures.

Drifter's dam is a modern rose grey, a Dillinger daughter, which brings the possibility of harlequin genetics, as well. Drifter shows a grey face, where his grey genes are peeking through, and he has a grey spot on the back of his neck.

Drifter has settled his first girl, a heavily spotted grey. I can't wait to see what he produces.
